Which iPad Stand or Dock is right for me?
If you’re like the rest of us, you mostly use your iPad to surf the web, read, play games, etc but sometimes it’s nice to be able to set it somewhere so you can watch a movie or use it along with a wireless keyboard. What are the different types of IPad stands that are available?
A Frame:
An A-frame design ipad stand swings open to hold your ipad upright in either portrait or landscape view. We’ve found that these types of stands are perfect for reading, watching videos, or viewing pictures on a flat surface.
Wedge:
A wedge type ipad stand is a flat piece of metal or wood with a channel carved into it (usually two) that allow the ipad to slide in nicely to be held upright. These ipad stands are good when you don’t need multi-angle viewing and are looking for something with a lower price point.
Pedestal:
Pedestal ipad stands are upright stands that have a sturdy base with a center pole that comes up a few inches where the ipad then mounts to. Ipad Pedestal Stands are perfect for flat surfaces as well but off the best range of viewing angles if you’re into watching video/movies. We’ve found that the pedestal ipad stands are not the best though when it comes to wanting to use it to type or surf the web.
